SAB TV or Sony SAB is a Light-hearted Family Entertainment Channel and is part of the network of television channels owned by Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt. Ltd. (SPNI). SAB TV HD launched on Monday 5 September 2016.[1][2]


This channel has created many new comedy shows in different genres such as rom-com, silent comedy, supernatural, science fiction, and stand up, to name a few.Current shows on SAB TV include:

Y.A.R.O Ka Tashan (Mon - Fri 7:30pm IST): Y.A.R.O Ka Tashan is a story about a humanoid robot with feelings – Y.A.R.O invented by Mr. Agrawal, a robotics professor. Mr. Agrawal creates YARO and treats him like his own son. It is also a story of friendship between YARO and his neighbour friends – Amar, Prem, Dolly and Shilpi. YARO become best of friends with them and create fun across the neighbourhood. During the show, YARO, learns the new lessons about life, love and humanity.

Ichhapyaari Naagin (Mon - Fri 8:00pm IST): Ichhapyaari Naagin is set in a world called Naagistaan where many Ichhadhaari Naags and Naagins live. When these snakes came to know that the humans have made negative image about them, a serpant named Ichha is sent to earth to change the perception of humans peacefully. A romantic story then revolves around Ichhapyaari’s journey to earth, as she spreads love and happiness and creates unique bonds with the humans.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (Mon - Fri 8:30pm IST): This show, popularly known as TMKOC, is the story of residents of Gokuldham Society. On air for more than eight years since 28 July 2008, TMKOC revolves around daily happenings in the Gokuldham Society, a society well known for its culture, unity, love and care for each other and the fun that happens there. The show's 2000th episode was aired on 11 August 2016.[3] The show was declared as The Longest Running Comedy Show by the Limca Book of Records after completing its 1700th episode on June 22, 2015.

Chidiya Ghar[4] (Mon - Fri 9:00pm IST): Chidiya Ghar is a house named after Mrs. Chidiya Kesari Narayan, late wife of retired principal, Mr. Kesari Narayan, also called Babuji. The story is about Babuji, his three sons - Ghotak, Gomukh and Kapi and their respective wives - Koyal, Mayuri and Chuhiya, Servant Gadha Prasad and other family members. Names of all the members of Chidiya Ghar resemble with an animal and each individual bears some characteristics of that animal.

Trideviyaan (Mon - Fri 9:30 pm IST): Trideviyaan is the journey of three woman living dual lives, trying to solve both domestic and national conflicts as trained secret agents as well as devoted Bahus and daughters. Each agent from this trio has a distinctive skill of Strength, Scream and Speed to fight and put end to the crime.

Khidki (Mon - Fri 10:00 pm IST): Khidki is a mini-TV series created by true funny stories contributed from people across the country. Their acting of the funny stories will bring laughter to everyone. Dil Deke Dekho (Mon - Fri 10:00pm IST): Dil Deke Dekho is a romantic comedy sitcom, which showcases three love stories in three different generations and how love is interacted in those different times. The plot of the show focuses on the struggle that each of the generations face while trying to express their love.
