Zvi Schreiber, (pron.: /ˈtsv ˈʃrbər/ TSVEE SHRY-bər; born 9 June 1969) is a British-Israeli serial entrepreneur, executive and author. He has founded high tech start-up companies including G.ho.st which at the time was considered the first and only high tech start-up with a joint Palestinian-Israeli team.[1][2][3] In 2011 Schreiber was CEO of Lightech which he sold to GE Lighting.[4]

He is currently the CEO of new start-up company named Tradeos and lives in Jerusalem, Israel. Schreiber is author of Fizz.[5]

Executive positions

During 2011, Schreiber was CEO of Lightech Electronic Industries Ltd,[9] based in Israel, where he had served as a director since 1996. His father, David Schreiber, an experienced businessman and investor,[10] chaired the board. Lightech was acquired by GE Lighting at the end of 2011 during Schreiber's tenure.[11]

Other Activities and Achievements

Schreiber has spoken at software industry events[12][13][14] and at some economic conferences[15] and is a co-inventor of several patents and patent applications.[16]

Books

Schreiber is the author of two books:

  • Bad hair day, a small picture book with his own photography[17]
  • Fizz: Nothing is as it seems which tells the story of the history of physics through a novel about a troubled young girl who time travels to meet Galileo, Newton, Einstein and others,[18][19] in the genre of Sophie's World.

Education

Schreiber has a BA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, a PhD in Computer Science from Imperial College London and an MSc in Theoretical Physics (Quantum Fields) from Imperial College London.[20]
